Marcus Barnett Studio is seeking a studio manager for their award-winning landscape architecture practise based in Hammersmith. You will be supporting the principal and a friendly team of ten designers who work with international and UHNW clients. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday with working hours from 09.00 am – 1800 pm.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- the first point of contact to the studio for clients, suppliers and deliveries
- answer phones and respond to enquiries
- organising events and corporate dinners
- HR duties
- managing expenses and invoices and liaising with the external accountant
- organising international and domestic travel
- manage the diary and meeting room bookings
- providing PA support to the principal
- ensure the smooth running of the studio at all times
- oversee the facilities and working with IT support to ensure designers are fully supported
- help the team to prepare documents
- general studio housekeeping
- arrange completed project photography
Marketing and communications:
- plan and implement marketing and advertising campaigns
- optimise performance, reach and engagement on all social media (Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn)
- establish and grow relationships with relevant journalists and editors
- developing and implementing PR / marketing strategy plans
- continuous review of products for lean production and engineering improvements to drive profitability
- monitor and report on performance on social media channels and accounts
- follow and identify trends that are relevant to the built environment industry
- stay up to date with the latest developments from social media platforms and report back learnings to the team
- maintain and update marketing documentation and databases
Experience, knowledge and attributes:
- outstanding organisational skills and experience working in a similar role
- ability to multi-task and prioritise
- IT savvy with MS Office skills
- excellent standard of written and spoken English
- Mac-proficient/Microsoft Office/knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Slack, Xero and Harvest advantageous
- relevant experience in a customer-facing/client-facing/team role
- excellent communication skills and professionalism in dealing with clients
- calm under pressure with a good sense of humour
- resourceful, innovative thinker
- utmost discretion when dealing with all sensitive project and client information that is of a confidential nature
- excellent attention to detail is essential
- two-three years’ PA/office management experience
- comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- tolerance of 80s music, particularly Pink Floyd
