BIM coordinator – Revit

Grant Associates has an opportunity for a BIM (Revit) coordinator to join its studio in Bath, UK.

We enjoy working on a diverse portfolio of challenging and innovative design-led projects throughout the UK, Europe and southeast Asia. We have over 60 employees based in Bath and Singapore.
We require an experienced BIM (Revit) coordinator to work in our friendly Bath studio to assist us on a wide range of projects from the early stages through to production and construction phases.
The position would suit an experienced BIM coordinator who has worked previously as part of a CAD team and possess an in-depth knowledge of Revit modelling and Navisworks.
We would like you to have…
Essential:
- an in-depth knowledge of Revit from a design background and ideally experienced in its application to landscape architecture
- excellent knowledge of Revit parametric families, ability to create clean and accurate templates, sheet layouts (including Stage B construction ready) and schedules from Revit
- use of filters, shared parameters, project parameters, design options and phase options within Revit
- a thorough working knowledge of both Navisworks and AutoCAD
- create new Revit workflows to aid in time and accuracy
- create and maintain BIM protocols and BIM execution plans and other documentation
- help introduce BIM protocols within the team
- a good understanding of the RIBA work stages and the associated LOD required within each
- managing data sets and non-proprietary data formation in Revit (COBIE)
- ensure the accuracy of models and datasets by establishing quality control procedures
- coordinating data modelling and management
- ability to coordinate models from external consultants
- an excellent command of both written and verbal English is essential
- personable and an ability to work closely and assist team members when meeting deadlines
- providing training and assistance to the project team and explaining procedures and standards
- ability to write and utilise scripts through the use of Dynamo and other plug-in scripting skills
Desirable:
- writing, reviewing and commenting on project BIM Execution plans for live projects, bids and proposals when required
- work closely with our office 3D team to develop ways of integrating other 3D software programs into Revit e.g. knowledge of plugins that will allow for the transfer of organic geometries from Rhino into Revit
