BIM manager
Bjarke Ingels Group is looking for a BIM manager to join its team in Copenhagen, Denmark.
At BIG we have decided to drive all BIM processes using Revit as our main tool. This is a step in our new, global BIM strategy supporting our employees in creating world class architecture. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious BIM manager who can develop work methods supporting our architects and project teams in doing what they are best at.
We are looking for a candidate with an experimental approach to analysing and structuring the processes within BIM management in SD/DD/CD phases. A candidate with a strong will to support and develop new methods/processes to optimise our workflow for the project team to focus on the quality of the architecture. A candidate who understands the workflow of the SD/DD/CD phases and can provide solutions in an environment with big ambitions.
As our BIM manager you will, as a part of the BIM team, be responsible for the organisation, maintenance and improvement of ICT standards, implementation of BIM software and work procedures. The BIM team is consisting of two BIM managers and a BIM specialist. The BIM team is a part of our growing technical team responsible for Q&A, ICT/BIM and SD/DD/CD phases. You will report directly to the technical director.
As our BIM manager your main responsibilities internally are:
- being the driving force in implementing the BIM strategy
- establish, develop and maintain ICT/BIM standards, working methods, templates and guidance
- organise and manage implementation of BIM/VDC tools in BIG
- support the project manager in start-up and follow-up of BIM process in accordance with BIG’s standards and to each project’s specific needs
- support and guide the project BIM lead/coordinator in the creation and maintenance of processes in accordance with BIG’s standards
- prepare consultation with the project manager and participate in customer satisfaction survey
- being responsible for educating architects and super users to a BIM coordinating level
About you:
- you have an educational background as an architect or constructing architect
- you have a minimum of 10 years’ experience within detailed design using Revit as your main tool
- you have a substantial in-depth knowledge of and experience in ICT/BIM management
