Experienced senior interior designer
Landmass London is recruiting an experienced senior interior designer to join its friendly team in the vibrant area of Soho, London.
We specialise in residential interior design and property development and have realised over fifty projects, comprised of both private clients and developments.
Key attributes
The successful candidate will have a bachelor degree in interior design, interior architecture or architecture, a minimum of seven years’ post-graduate experience in the high-end luxury residential sector and be highly creative, innovative, motivated and committed.
As a senior designer, you will be a confident all-rounder with proven experience successfully leading London-based projects across every aspect of the design process from pre-design/inception through design development and technical to completion. You will possess strong conceptual and outstanding presentation skills, a good knowledge of space planning and interior architectural detailing, and will be able to demonstrate your skills at delivering exceptional design.
Required skills:
- fully proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop with strong freehand sketching skills; SketchUp is a plus
- strong interpersonal skills with client facing expertise
- strong conceptual and outstanding presentation skills, a good knowledge of space planning and interior architectural detailing
- extensive knowledge of FF&E suppliers and fully competent developing and producing specification documents and all project schedules
- on-site experience and the ability to come up with solutions on site if problems arise
- business development skills are desirable
- ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
- a financial understanding of project costs and be budget aware when designing
- self-directed with a high level of initiative, boundless amounts of positive energy and a ‘can do’ attitude
- reliable, confident, articulate and organised
- experienced in technical design drawing with meticulous attention to detail
- fluent in spoken and written English with impeccable and concise communication skills
Responsibilities:
- pitching to potential clients followed by producing fee proposals
- maintaining new and existing client relationships
- managing a project to ensure the specified finishes, materials and FF&E are delivered in line with budgets at the appropriate specification
- producing, overseeing and presenting concept and design development presentations to clients
- producing and overseeing the full tender pack including detailed drawings, detailed joinery and stone packages, detailed elevations, small power and lighting drawings
- leading the consultant team, coordinating the design alongside project managers and keeping clients informed throughout the design and construction process and managing day-to-day communications
- managing the procurement and installation of all FF&E products
- mentoring mid-level and junior designers
- attending design events to keep up to date with current trends and suppliers, and recognising business development opportunities as they arise

Mon-Fri: 9am-6pm
