Yoko Kloeden Design is seeking a senior interior designer to join its team in London.

We are looking for a senior interior designer to lead our projects from full design development, managing the team and seeing projects through to completion.

The candidate must have at least seven years’ experience working in high-end residential projects in London with a proven track-record of designing and managing projects on time, working to a budget.

About us

Yoko Kloeden Design is a rapidly growing interior design studio based in St Margarets, London.  We are dedicated to creating restful, evocative homes inspired by a deep reverence for nature. Our clients are mainly corporate executives and business owners working in or relocating to London.

We are a small team of four and aspire to be a leading design studio blurring the indoor/ outdoor boundary.

You will play a pivotal role of taking over the project leadership from the Creative Director and drive to establish the studio’s design reputation.

Job description:

  • act as a project leader on the studio’s design project, fully develop design, manage team and see through to fruition
  • check that thorough administrative records are being maintained
  • develop concepts and detailed design and present them to clients
  • source and specify FF&Es in line with brief and budget
  • ensure that accurate technical drawings and FF&E design are being produced to form a design package
  • ensure the team successfully delivers projects from concept to completion on time and budget and to the highest standard
  • ensure that building stages are being executed as per the design package
  • identify successful details and lessons from projects and proactively develop an internal process to grow as a team
  • mentor junior team members and build successful relationships with external professionals and suppliers

Skills required:

  • relevant interior design qualification
  • proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • excellent time management a must

Education and experience:

  • over seven years’ experience working in London high-end residential projects a must
  • proven track record of designing and managing projects with limited direction
  • ability to interface with clients interpreting and delivering their requirements
  • proficiency in managing and tracking projects to create a flow of work within the studio
  • excellent knowledge of FF&E, joinery and construction detailing
  • experience of producing design packages, schedules and specifications for high-end residential projects
