Twentytwentyone is seeking an accounts assistant to join its team in London.
Twentytwentyone has established itself as one of London’s foremost retailers of classic and contemporary design, supplying furniture, lighting and accessories from world leading designers and manufacturers. We are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have experience working in a similar role previously. The accounts assistant role is key to ensuring the smooth running of the business, supporting and reporting to the finance manager. The right candidate will be an efficient and well organised multi-tasker. We are looking for a team player happy to roll up their sleeves, with a very high attention to detail and the ability to self-manage and organised.
The position is full-time Mon-Fri based at River Street office in Angel.
Tasks include, but not limited to:
- entering stock supplier invoices against purchase orders in Sage
- processing overhead invoices, ensuring that they are accurately entered in Sage and properly authorised in accordance with company policies
- weekly payment run, including proforma invoices, following schedule prepared by finance manager
- processing and allocating payments to all supplier accounts
- liaising with colleagues across all departments and suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries
- reconciliation of supplier statements, ensuring all follow-up activities are completed in a timely manner
- completing creditors’ reconciliations in Sage
- reconciliation of company credit card statements
- sending remittance advice emails to suppliers
- providing ad-hoc support to the Finance and Purchasing teams when required
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes/skills:
- previous experience in a similar role
- high attention to detail
- good working knowledge of Excel
- ability to use initiative and priorities workload to meet deadlines
- effective at communicating with colleagues and suppliers through appropriate channels
- Sage experience preferred but not essential
- AAT qualification (desirable)
