Figure/Ground Architects is seeking an urban designer/masterplanner to join its team in London.
Figure/Ground Architects is an award-winning, design-driven practice looking for an experienced, talented and highly motivated senior urban designer/masterplanner to work with us on a masterplan for a new settlement based on garden town principles.
We require a collaborative team player with exceptional communication and organisational skills – someone able to form strong relationships with clients and co-consultants.
We want to hear from you if:
- you have significant previous experience of working on large-scale residential masterplans in the United Kingdom
- you have a comprehensive understanding of UK planning and regulatory frameworks
- you have a solid grounding in urban design theory and practice
- you have experience of producing design codes
- you are confident and personable at public consultation events
- you can manage complexity
- you have excellent graphic design skills – including a dab sketching hand
- you can argue and write clearly and persuasively
- you can use MicroStation (not essential but helpful) along with graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite)
- you are legally entitled to work in the UK
