BIM/project technology manager

BDP is seeking a BIM/project technology manager to join its team in Dublin.
We currently have a vacancy for a project technology manager to join our multi-disciplinary team of architects and engineers in our Dublin studio. We are looking for a highly motivated person to manage project technology initiatives in conjunction with the wider project technology group and central IT overall.
About you
The role will require the successful candidate to balance workload between work across active project work and project technical support for the studio. Project technology aspects will involve the effective support of technology software, deployment, training, workflow preparation and on occasion R&D within the Dublin studio. The successful candidate will spend a proportion of time working as part of our central IT team extending to some 35 staff; balancing project technical requirements, leveraging the support of the wider central IT group and escalating issues as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- act as a conduit to ensure the effective delivery of project technology functions to office based technology users building effective communication channels within the Dublin studio and between central IT overall
- have an active involvement in project technology matters within the Dublin studio and engage in practice wide initiatives ensuring that team members utilise the most appropriate and efficient technology to deliver projects
- identify the technical software training needs and coordinate/deliver effective training content to all Dublin studio staff utilising the LMS as the primary vehicle for managing and recording training (directly and through the management of others)
- build a network and support the studio BIM coordinators group within the Dublin studio
- inform, document and communicate local and practice wide project technology strategies
- support central IT and other Dublin studio representatives to manage and/or assist with the deployment of software
- manage and assist in the evaluation and testing of upgrades and new releases of technical software and hardware
- lead regular project technology meetings
- represent and provide general support on behalf of central IT in all dealings with the Dublin studio
- assist in the setting up/preparation of information and issuing of information across studio projects
- innovate and drive quality
Skills and qualities required:
- experience working in a support/training role for CAD/BIM applications required
- in-depth working knowledge of Autodesk Suite of products required
- experience of a multidisciplinary AEC environment required
- knowledge of UK BIM framework and working standards required
- understanding of configuration and template creation for REVIT preferred
- skills and experience in Rhino and Grasshopper preferred
- coding/scripting skills including Dynamo, Python and Autodesk Forge integrations preferred

The individual will demonstrate their success in the role through the building of successful relationships within the central IT team, wider office, project and profession directors and the Dublin studio leadership.
