SCP is seeking a press and events coordinator to join its team in London.

This position oversees two key areas of the business that are closely linked – press and events. You will be the first point of contact for press and you will be responsible for implementing SCP’s press schedule and developing relationships with key contacts. You will assist the head of marketing in the planning and execution of SCP’s busy events calendar as well as organising Shoreditch Design Triangle – a platform for the creative businesses in East London to promote their events during London Design Festival and at other key times in the year.

This role is suitable for an ambitious professional looking to gain experience in the marketing department of a well respected design brand. The role is partly based in our head office in Shoreditch and partly remote.

This role is for a personable individual, who is well organised and energetic.

The role:

• work with the team to create and implement the press schedule in line with product launches and events
• be the first point of contact for media; send high-res images, organise press loans and provide credit information
• build positive relationships with key press contacts
• maintain and grow the press list
• create press emails and send regular releases
• assist head of marketing to organise all SCP events
• organise and coordinate the successful running of Shoreditch Design Triangle
• assist web administrator with website updates
