Christopher Farr Cloth is looking for an experienced marketing and PR manager to join its team in London. You will work across the artisan textile operation, helping the business to grow through strategic marketing and PR campaigns; communicating its vision to media, clients and a wider consumer audience.
Christopher Farr Cloth was founded in 2000 by partners Christopher Farr, Matthew Bourne and Michal Silver; who heads the brand as creative director. In just under two decades, Cloth has built a unique reputation to become a leading design company in London and through an international network of stockists.
This is a rare opportunity to build on the reputation of a unique and celebrated design company with a friendly and highly talented team and would suit a senior team member, capable of independently leading and managing a strategic campaign. You’ll be expected to proactively grow the company in its target markets, but also act as a brand guardian, understanding the philosophy behind the studio and ensure that all activity reflects the same ethos.
Marketing responsibilities:
- creation and implementation of the CFC content marketing calendar and development, updating and maintenance of content for the website and social media – in close collaboration with key stakeholders
- planning of the events calendar for the newly opened Christopher Farr rugs and Cloth showroom on the Kings Road; recognising opportunities to create engaging activations for clients and press that can feed into wider industry events such as LDF and LCW – tying in with sister company Christopher Farr rugs within this combined space
- design and production of marketing materials including website, brochures, newsletters and collateral for the international network of distribution showrooms
- writing and editing engaging content for marketing and social media purposes
- management of the CFC IG accounts
- analysis, monitoring and reporting of digital marketing data relating to the website and social media
- management of photoshoots
PR responsibilities:
- manage media relations, research editorial opportunities, build and maintain relationships with high level editors and publishers across print and digital media
- writing of all PR materials and production of press kits
- management of press events
- organisation of all press loans/returns
- research opportunities for interviews for Michal Silver, plus interview support
- entering of relevant industry awards
Desired qualifications and skills:
- strong project management experience in planning a schedule for a project and deliver to deadlines and an ability to work consistently and independently
- able to build relationships both externally and internally
- excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and organisation skills
- experience in managing and producing marketing content for printed publications, websites, video, press releases, newsletters and social media
- ability to collaborate with a variety of freelancers to achieve desired objectives
- experience of strategic marketing; setting objectives, creating a framework of tasks and reporting back in useful measures
- an ability to confidently and professionally communicate with senior team members and clients, not only taking direction but also advising on the best outcome
- a strong interest and knowledge in the design industry
- good contacts in the UK lifestyle and home media/industry
