Watershedd is hiring a studio manager to join its team in London.

Watershedd is a unique design-led architecture and development company based in London and Cornwall. Working predominantly in the south west on high-end private houses and bespoke commercial projects. We have a number of existing projects on site and in the design process, some of which are our own developments and others for private individuals.

We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised studio manager who can assist us in the general management of our small studio. The role would include general office management as well as personal assistant responsibilities to our directors. We envisage this person to be a central role to the running of our office liaising with all team members. We would ideally like someone who has an interest or previous knowledge in marketing and PR as we would like to expand the role to include this. As most of our jobs are in Cornwall; the ability to travel back and forth when needed is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • general office admin; answering, directing calls, coordinating calendars and booking meetings
  • preparing and sending out client invoices on a monthly basis; we use Xero for reconciling payments, preparing invoices
  • helping with the office bookkeeping we do it mostly through Dext. Ensure all receipts/invoices are sent to Dext for publishing to Xero
  • personal assistant responsibilities to our directors, for example organising travel to and from Cornwall as well as accommodation. For one of the directors; organising his personal diary, making personal reservations, and managing his holiday home rental enquiries
  • potential to develop the role to include more marketing and PR responsibilities. Helping to improve the companies overall marketing strategy through social media/ website/ industry awards etc.

Skills:

  • experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • knowledge of Xero desirable
  • excellent written English and verbal communication skills
  • interest in marketing, promotion, advertising and/or public relations
  • experience in social media platforms such as Instagram
  • interest in architecture and the built environment
  • strong attention to detail
  • teamwork – we work very much as a team and make decisions together. It is important that you enjoy working as part of a team and individually when required

Essential:

  • current eligibility to work in the UK and good written and spoken English
  • UK Drivers licence and car highly desirable
