Marcel Wanders studio is an internationally renowned design firm based in the spirited Dutch city of Amsterdam. Together with our talented international team of 40 multi-disciplinary specialists, we realise stunning and exciting projects for premium brands and clients around the globe.

Right now, we’re looking to strengthen the interior design team with a skilled mid-weight interior designer.
Position: 40 hours per week, full-time
Together with an amazingly talented team you deliver daring and original designs for high-end interior design projects in the hospitality, residential, workspace and retail sectors – with a principal focus on hospitality. All perfectly in line with the Marcel Wanders design language, while adding your own creativity.
As an interior designer at our studio, you interpret project briefs into strong conceptual designs that are daring and innovative, as well as apply strong story-telling in your imaginative ideas. You are comfortable with all stages of interior design – from initial concepts to detailed design through execution.
Working on several projects at a time comes naturally to you due to your flexible and detail oriented nature. You continually have an overview and feel comfortable with all stages of interior design.
With a proactive, energetic, and collaborative attitude, you’re a valuable team player integral to successful projects.
Skills and experience:
- five plus years of relevant professional experience
- experience in high-end hospitality projects is essential
- strong conceptual approach and experience, particularly in FF&E and styling materials
- good understanding of guest and consumer experience, and able to apply to concepts and narratives
- excellent technical skills using design-industry programs – Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCad, Vectorworks, MS Office 365, etc.
- skilled in free-hand sketches
- able to work in a team as well as independently
- fluent in English – both spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
- living in the Amsterdam metropolitan area or willing to relocate
- European Union passport or working visa (we do not sponsor!)
