Based in Edinburgh, Scotland (though if you want to be really specific – it’s Broxburn)

About ooni
We’re very hot. Specifically, 500℃ hot. That’s the perfect temperature to cook world-class pizza in sixty seconds, a mark all ooni ovens can achieve in about 15 minutes. When we launched in 2012, we created a category by offering a small, fast, and accessible wood-fired pizza oven that gave ordinary people the critical tool to make great pizza at home.
Now we’re on fire. Exponential growth (400% YOY last year) global distribution (80 countries at the last count), 190 staff, an ever-expanding product portfolio that goes well beyond ovens, and a growing community of ooni-lovers around the world who sing our praises and treat their friends and family to epic pizza.

Are you the kind of person who orders a product and then spends a long time admiring the packaging or thinking about how it could be done SO much better? Then you would love this role. We’re looking for a packaging construction engineer. We’re an exciting fast growing, fast-paced business, and we are building a team of innovative people who enjoy getting stuck into a project and love doing it well.
About you:
- you are all about form, function and cost (and pizza)
- you’ll have practical experience in developing packaging across multiple materials (preferably alongside product development teams)
- you like looking at processes and finding ways to make them super efficient and sustainable taking into account the experience from supplier to our customer
- you like to come up with creative solutions to problems and create innovative packaging solutions that add to the product experience
- you will jump into, and be a part of, the people-first culture here at ooni. This is a definite non-negotiable
Requirements:
- you are organised and considered in your approach
- you know your way around packaging testing and standards
- you have experience with packaging software
- demonstration of ooni’s company values: passion, rigour, innovation,
- ambition and kindness
