Account manager – wholesale and online

HAY is seeking an account manager with wholesale and online experience to join its London showroom.
Are you passionate about interior design, furniture, accessories, lighting and sales and want to be part of an international design company? HAY is looking for a highly motivated account manager – wholesale and online to join our international sales team in the UK based London showroom. You will report directly to our country manager for UK.
About the job
As our new account manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to develop and strengthen brand awareness according to HAY’ values and strategy as well as increasing sales activities within UK, and with a special focus on London.
In this exciting role, you will promote HAY and further establishing the brand in the wholesale market. With specialist knowledge, experience and, above all, a lot of enjoyment in the matter, you will secure a proactive development of the market.
Your focus will be on client meetings that creates increased sales, and you will be working closely together with five other dedicated colleagues from our showroom in the Clerkenwell/Shoreditch area.
Your tasks:
- distribution and representation of HAY collection within accessories, furniture and lighting
- strengthen and expand the sales activities for HAY wholesale and online dealers in the UK
- special focus on accessories to major wholesale and online dealers (ambassador of accessories)
- develop the relationship and collaboration with both existing and new clients – turning into strong and long term client relationships
- structure, plan and implement various sales campaigns
- regular product training of dealer staff
- actively contribute to a well-functioning collaboration across the UK sales team
Your qualifications
You have a strong sales background ideally with two-five years of sales experience. You are a driven self-starter who thrives by working independently, and is energised by working as a part of a strong team. You have strong presentation and communication skills as well as an enthusiasm for and interest in interior design, products, materials and manufacturing processes. You are structured and have an eye for the detail. You possess strong time management skills including an ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines. It is a big plus if you have experience in selling to department stores and online businesses.
Your profile
On a personal level, you have a positive and self-driven personality and you love to work with design as well as growing the sales and relationships with customers. You enjoy and are motivated by doing both canvas sales and working with long term projects. You are a strong service-minded team player. You are positive and driven to make your challenges a success focused on finding solutions and identifying possibilities.
