Product development manager
at SCP
SCP is hiring a product development manager to join its team in London.

SCP is firmly established as one of the UK’s most innovative and internationally respected manufacturers and suppliers of contemporary design. We develop new products every year with established and emerging designers and launch our ranges at trade fairs around the world.
Reporting to senior management, your main areas of responsibility include
Product development:
- technical drawings in 2D and 3D for products in the SCP range and bespoke editions of SCP products
- liaising with manufacturers and designers, both in the UK and internationally
- product specifications
- prototype and sample new designs
- packaging development
- product costing
Production:
- co-ordinate the production of SCP branded products
- control stock levels of SCP products
- produce and analyse sales projections
- issue manufacturers with purchase orders / approve invoices
- source and visit manufacturers in UK and Europe
- quality control of samples and prototypes and production batches
- logistics
Exhibitions:
- co-ordinate SCP exhibitions in UK and Europe
- install the exhibitions on site
- liaise with organiser/contractor/designers
Requirements:
- minimum three years’ experience in a relevant role
- advanced level of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft excel
- understanding of Sage
- technically proficient at all levels of developing a product
- demonstrable knowledge of materials and manufacturing
- a qualification or background in furniture/product design or production
