Interior design internship

Juliette Byrne is seeking an intern to join its studio in London.
Completion of a successful internship will lead to a six month contract, with view to extend it to a permanent position.
We are a multi-award winning team specialising in high-end residential projects in the UK and Europe. We have been listed in Country & Town House’s ‘Top 50 Finest Interior Designers’, House & Garden’s ‘Top 100 Interior Designers’ and The Telegraph’s ‘Best 20 Interior Designers’. Many of our projects have been featured in magazines such as House & Garden and 25 Beautiful Homes.
Our internship programme offers a fully immersed opportunity to hone your design skills and will involve:
- supporting designers on current projects, e.g. producing fabric schemes, sourcing FF&E, 2D and 3D drawings, accompanying designers to site meetings, preparing costings, making templates, etc.
- helping to manage our social media accounts and grow our audience
- assisting with the day-to-day running of the office, e.g. preparing for client meetings, updating our sample library, replenishing office supplies, answering the phone etc.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- a positive and proactive attitude with a passion for design
- excellent communication skills as you will be assisting multiple designers
- creativity and attention to detail
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- proficiency in Vectorworks and SketchUp is preferred, however experience in using other similar programmes will be accepted
- excellent working knowledge of Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook
- experience with Squarespace is a bonus
We are looking to begin the internship on Monday 1 November 2021.
Internship duration: three months, with a possibility of the internship leading to a six-month contract and a view of extending that to a permanent position.
Schedule: full-time (Monday toFriday, 9:30am to 5:30pm)
