Creative SPARC Architects are seeking a talented and driven Part 2/3 architectural assistant or recently qualified architect to join their growing north west-based practice. Drive, ambition and adaptability are key to this role, which will see you working on projects across a variety of scales and sectors.

About us

Creative SPARC Architects is a young, emerging practice based in the beautiful seaside town of Lytham, Lancashire. We believe in working hard, whilst still achieving a good work/life balance.

Our work covers all sectors and ranges from smaller domestic projects through to larger residential and commercial schemes. This currently includes several high-profile local projects including a theatre redevelopment and extension, new build and conversion apartment developments, a community football facility, a new build seafront restaurant and a paragraph 80 countryside home, amongst our other ongoing work.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to get hands-on experience across all RIBA work stages and to become an important and integral member of our small but growing team. This role is being created to help deliver our expanding workload and to allow the practice to continue to grow and evolve.

We are looking for the right candidate to start immediately.

Knowledge and experience:

  • minimum Part 2 qualification
  • a minimum of one year experience working as an architectural assistant for a UK based practice

Skills required:

  • proficiency in CAD (preferably AutoCAD), 3D modelling in SketchUp and experience using Photoshop, InDesign and other presentation software
  • excellent presentation skills (visual, written and spoken) and the ability to contribute to and prepare high quality design documents
  • good time management skills and the ability to work independently as well as being part of the team
  • the ability to be organised and plan ahead
  • the ability to successfully interpret project briefs
  • you must be a confident problem solver and be able to use your own initiative
  • good communication skills in-person, by telephone and via email
  • experience and understanding of the planning process and building regulations
  • excellent design skills
