Architect or experienced Part 2
at COAL architecture & interior design
COAL architecture & interior design is looking for an architect, or experienced Part 2, to join its practice in St Agnes, Cornwall, UK.
Our current work is predominantly focussed on renovations and extensions to interesting private homes in Cornwall. We’d like the successful candidate to become a key part of our practice and help us to shape its future direction.
The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria:
- excellent design skills
- ability to work independently and run a residential project from conception to completion
- excellent time management
- comprehensive understanding of all RIBA work stages
- ability to manage multiple small scale projects at different work stages
- ability to communicate directly with clients and contractors on a day-to-day basis
- be based in Cornwall and be able to work both from home and from our studio in St Agnes
- full proficiency in a CAD software with integrated 3D modelling (we use ArchiCAD, but you can use whatever you prefer!)
- full proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- excellent presentation skill including making compelling visualisations
- an interest in architectural history and how this can inform our work
- an interest in the eclectic side of architecture and interior design
- a good sense of humour!
The position is full time based on a 35 hour week with a ‘flexi-time’ arrangement. Salary is dependant on experience and the start date is flexible. We are an equal opportunities employer.
