Soho House is seeking an interior designer to join its Soho Home team in New York.

The role

We are recruiting for an interiors and visual specialist who will play an integral role in building our bespoke Soho Home consultation service. They will work with walk-in and appointment requested clients to ensure that Soho Home not only meets but exceeds their design expectations. The interiors and visual specialist are pivotal in educating both clients and team members on all aspects of the home collections.

Key responsibilities:

• actively build, maintain and grow relationships with existing and new Soho Home clients
• host and perform consultations within the store at varying levels of detail
• provide expertise, guidance and an elevated service to clients looking to use Soho Home for projects within their own home
• own each touch point of the client experience from initial contact right through to delivery
• represent the Soho Home aesthetic and brand vision through all instalments
  hold a passion for interiors and a keen interest in immersing themselves into the Soho Home brand in order to become a leader in product and interior knowledge
• support the visual quality and standards throughout the store/studio space
• assist retail manager in the delivery of staff training
• providing customer service that goes above and beyond the customers expectations
• maintaining and developing exceptional product knowledge to use as a selling tool in hitting store KPI’s
• working closely with the interior and visual specialist to ensure that standards are kept at an optimum level at all times
• leading by example in deliverance of operational efficiency and a seamless customer journey
• assisting in the booking in of clients who wish to attend consultations with our visual and interiors specialist

Requirements:

• experience within a design firm or similar
• interior design degree level qualification
• experienced user of AutoCAD or Vectorworks, adobe indesign, Photoshop and Excel software
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• highly organized with a natural flair for design and creativity
• passionate in people and maintaining relationships
• visual and sales experience – preferably within a luxury furniture/homeware brand
• passion for customer service, KPI achievement and developing their skillset in both areas
• a confident communicator with a team player approach
• number and goal driven
