Senior/mid-weight designer

Q Design House is seeking a senior/mid-weight designer to join its team in London.
The role
We are looking for a highly driven and motivated individual to join our team. The role is challenging and will stretch even experienced candidates as the Company is going through a high growth phase of expansion. The successful candidate will lead multiple projects at one time from inception to completion, often working independently direct with clients.
All members of the Q Design House team work across interior architecture, interior design and procurement which allows our team to build their skills across project management, design and finances. This is a role for someone looking for an opportunity to become a key member to drive the future of the company and is committed to the role and achieving success for themselves and the team.
All candidates must have:
- minimum five years’ relevant industry experience
- strong interior architecture skills
- strong design skills
- exceptional supplier knowledge across a range of styles
- numerical confidence and a demonstrable knowledge of project finances and accounts
- proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
- note that all shortlisted candidates will be asked to sit a design test assessing the above skills
About Q Design House
Q Design House is an interior architecture and interior design studio based on Richmond High Street, in the town centre next to the river and close to many design suppliers. Our offices feature a sample show room for interactive client experiences, as well as open plan office space (and even a garden terrace for summer lunches!)
Our team consists of our two directors and best friends since 11 years old, Josie and Michelle, three designers and two project managers. Our next senior hire will play a key role in mentoring the junior team, as well as positioning themselves to play a lead role in the next stages of the Company as we open new ventures. Q Design House also has a sister build company which enables us to contract large renovation projects, aligned with the design team for efficiency and high quality finishes.
The majority of our projects are based in London and Surrey, with the occasional project abroad in the sunshine or the snow. We are style agnostic which allows our team to work across contemporary penthouses to luxury country houses.
