Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo is hiring a FF&E specifier to join its team in London.

We are a team of 400 creative professionals across three continents with offices in Southern California, Honolulu, New York, London, Singapore and Shanghai.
The London location of Wimberly Interiors is hiring an FF&E specifier.
Summary of position
The FF&E specifier, located in London, will take responsibility for sourcing, selecting and specifying FF&E.
They will be involved in the technical research and preparation of specification manuals for interior finishes, furnishings and equipment.
Major responsibilities:
- review furnishing layouts
- create furnishing, colour and material boards
- product resource organization
- ability to create freehand sketches and product detailing
- comprehensive construction knowledge of furniture and an ability to draw and detail furniture to meet operator standards at a minimum
- experience with furniture, fixtures and equipment specifications
- re-selection of FF&E with related fabric & finishes to comply with the project budget constraints, brand standards, code compliance and/or product lead times as they relate to the overall project schedule
- coordinates construction administration and performs tasks such as submission review, file organisation and field installation review
- to be familiar with hotel design programs, operator design standards as well as rules of thumb for design
- purchase order review
- shop drawing review
Other projects and duties as assigned by the manager.
Job requirements
BA (Hons) in interior design or interior architecture (or equivalent) and six to ten years’ related experience in designing small to mid-size interior projects including urban and resort hotels.
Experience with the documentation, installation and punch/review of completed Hospitality Projects with first hand participation throughout the process is desired, as well as extensive knowledge of furniture fabrication/construction including casegood, upholstered seating, lighting and draping manufacturing.
Other requirements include:
- a proficient level of experience in the use of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and 3D sketches/renderings
- a proficient level of experience using Photoshop to design hand sketch case work and vignette scenes, hand color, and render interior drawings, area take-offs, and shop drawings
- translating design concepts into FF&E and casegood assemblies through the creation of construction documents using AutoCAD
- assist in assembling FF&E and finish boards using physical material samples, physical finish samples and photographic prints
- a proficient level of experience in interior design concepts such as, space planning, furniture, fixtures, and product research to create and refine the overall conceptual design for a project
- applying technical regulations and related code compliance including ADA requirements
- understanding the material codes and fire rating equipments in line with operator standards and regulatory requirements
- writing specifications using DesignSmart (an online specification writing program)
- preparation of finishes, hardware and sanitaryware schedules
- knowledge of suppliers and vendors
