Senior landscape architect
at R-LA
R-LA is hiring a senior landscape architect to join its team in London.
R-LA are an award winning practice with a design focusing on sustainability and bio-urbanism across several sectors including large and small scale residential, masterplanning, education and commercial. We have a rapidly expanding portfolio, and so we are looking for a passionate landscape architect to join our team.
You will be landscape architect (preferably CMLI) with three to four years’ experience in a UK based landscape architecture studio. Your wide-ranging responsibilities will include delivering stage 0-3 planning application soft and hard landscape design packages, stage 4 detailed construction design, attending construction sites, and liaising with clients and the design teams to deliver projects to tight deadlines. You will be passionate and enthusiastic about landscape architecture and sustainability, with an excellent attention to detail.
Required skills:
- excellent written and spoken English
- proven technical stage 4 construction design skills
- excellent knowledge of relevant UK Building Regulations
- good UK horticultural knowledge
- good of ecology and landscape designations knowledge
- creative design flair from sketch concepts to technical detailing
- understanding of BIM process would be an advantage
Software expertise:
- Vectorworks Landmark 2D and 3D, with a particular emphasis on terrain modelling
- MS and Adobe Suite
- SketchUp
- working knowledge of QGIS would be an advantage
Set in a dynamic multi-disciplinary co-working space in Central London’s Clerkenwell design quarter, with excellent on-site facilities, a gym, changing rooms showers and secure cycle storage. Regular centrally organised networking events.
Position: permanent
