Simpson Studio is hiring an interior designer to join its team in London.
Simpson Studio is an award winning design house offering architecture, interior design and bespoke furniture manufacture, located in central London. Established in 2013 the studio has a broad portfolio of projects, working on high-end residential and commercial architecture and interiors, as well as vehicle, product and furniture design and production. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced interior designer to help with the exciting projects in our busy London studio.
We are looking for a passionate, hands on, highly motivated, and creative interior designer to join the team, ideally on a part-time basis but full time will be considered for the right candidate. Applicants should be familiar with the interior design process from design development, materials research and selection, through to procurement, production and installation.
The ideal candidate will:
- be able to read and produce drawings and plans
- have exceptional time management and attention to detail
- be creative and have an excellent eye for design
- enjoy collaborating with a design team
Main duties will include:
- creating and presenting design concepts for the review with the Director and clients
- developing design drawings (bespoke furniture, lighting, joinery, layouts) and schedules for the review with the design team
- preparing FF&E budgets
- ensuring documents and presentations are filed accordingly and in a timely manor
- sourcing finishes, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware and accessories
- attending site visits at key stage
- assist architects in answering all RFI’s during construction
- assists FF&E install
- maintaining and updating sample libraries
Software skills:
- Adobe InDesign
- Excel
- Vectorworks is a bonus
