Joe McGuire Design is a full-service residential interior design firm with clients in Aspen, Boulder, Denver, and other parts of the US.  We feel fortunate to call Colorado our home while doing exciting, cutting-edge projects for clients with sophisticated tastes from around the country.

Joe McGuire Design is hiring an interior designer to complement its current team. We are looking for an experienced designer, who will share the aesthetic vision of Joe McGuire Design.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have five plus years’ of high-end residential design experience

This position will be based in our Aspen office, located within walking distance from the shops, restaurants, and slopes. Occasional travel to Boulder, Denver, or other parts of the US will be required.

Responsibilities include:

  • develop a creative vision for JMD projects
  • collaborate on initial project design charrettes
  • oversee project timelines and meet deadlines
  • serve as the primary point of client contact
  • lead and delegate to design assistants
  • follow up with consultants, vendors, and trades
  • knowledge of fabrics and custom furniture specification
  • ability to develop sketches and drawings
    • mood boards
    • concept boards
    • presentations
    • finish selections
    • construction schedules
  • site visits and construction inspections
  • oversee furnishings installs
  • assist principals in tracking profitability and productivity

Required education and experience:

  • bachelors degree in interior design
  • five to seven years’ experience in high-end residential
  • familiar with Google drive and apps
  • Mac OS proficient
  • Adobe Photoshop

Salary range: $70,000 plus based on experience

Successful candidates will be passionate about contemporary design, have a compelling portfolio of completed work, be experienced with FF&E, highly motivated, and work effectively and collaboratively. They will have exceptional verbal and graphic communication and experience working through all phases of design.
