Andrew Henry Interiors is hiring a head of interior design to join its team in Bristol, UK.
Andrew Henry Interiors was established in 2007 and is a leading provider of show homes to the New Homes Industry. Our more recently established Luxe brand also provides interior design for premium property developers and discerning private clients.
Our extensive experience within the UK marketplace has given us an incisive understanding of consumer needs and aspirations; we know how to design showhouses that inspire buying decisions and for private clients create houses which become homes.
Role and responsibilities
An exciting opportunity now exists for talented senior designer or manager who is looking to progress to the next stage of their career. The role will primarily involve leading, inspiring and managing our design team whilst also undertaking a selected number of higher end design projects each year under our Luxe brand.
The role is based in Bristol and the ideal candidate should ideally live within one hours commute of Bristol or be prepared to relocate as they will be required to be office based circa three days’ per week, with flexible working offered for the other days.
Required skills and experience:
- minimum five years’ experience at senior designer level in the residential sector, ideally including show home design
- a natural leader with the ability to manage, motivate and further develop a team of full and part-time designers
- proven track record in FF&E of interior schemes including furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, artwork and appropriate lifestyle accessories
- producing detailed mood boards and visuals to bring the scheme to life
- ongoing client liaison and project management of contractors and partners in project delivery
- strong IT skills including In Design, Adobe CS and MS Office/Excel
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- self-motivated, highly organised and able to prioritise work deadlines
- build and optimise relationships with suppliers both existing and new
- lead the creative direction and style of the business
What we are offering:
- salary range £45,000-£55,000 including bonus, commensurate with experience
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays
- 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
