Elnaz Namaki Studio is seeking a mid-weight/senior interior architect or designer to join its team in London.

Elnaz Namaki Studio is looking for a mid-weight/senior interior architect or interior designer to join our team specialising in high-end residential interior design. This role is an excellent opportunity for a talented applicant to become an important member of our team where you will have real autonomy and take a key defining role. We are looking for a candidate with at least five years’ UK-based experience for either a freelance or permanent position.  This is flexible to being either a part time or full-time position. You will be based at our Holland Park office with optional part-time working from home.

Responsibilities:

  • developing design concepts through a variety of media including mood boards, sample boards, sketching, computer 3D-modelling, 2D CAD drawing and concept presentations
  • researching and specifying finishes – creating presentations for all interior fixtures and finishes (such as materials, furniture and lighting)
  • CAD for RCP, GA’s, elevations and room plans including drawings for lighting/electrical design and construction and detailing
  • SketchUp drawings for joinery designs as well as full rooms including panelling, windows and full interior architectural detailing
  • researching and creating FF&E designs and presentations including bespoke furniture designs
  • specifying and scheduling FF&E packages, liaising with suppliers, procurement and on-site coordination and installation

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills, abilities and qualities:

  • have a modern design outlook, we’re looking for someone with a creative tasteful design aesthetic – our clients are looking for a luxurious eclectic style
  • you must have strong organisational and administrative skills as well as working diligently with a strong eye for detail and a thorough problem-solving way of working
  • be technically minded with experience in all stages of design projects from concept to tender to construction and handover
  • excellent presentation and drawings skills
  • work well under pressure – excellent time management skills and commitment to meeting deadlines
  • professional communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to work as part of a team and with our suppliers – strong organisation skills and not shy to chase/follow up suppliers plus liaise with our team and consultants
  • self-motivated and pragmatic with excellent initiative and ability to work independently as well as part of a team, whether remotely or in the office
  • interiors specification knowledge – suppliers and experience in sourcing interior architectural hard finishes and fixtures and FF&E
  • formal training in architecture or interior architecture, this is not an FF&E only role
  • be open to working as a team and carrying out random ad-hoc tasks like collecting samples/writing Christmas cards etc.
