Job role
We are looking for a proactive, creative, and experienced senior interior architect at our atelier in Chelsea. We need a highly skilled individual who has successfully taken projects through all work stages and can demonstrate an ability to maintain design intent and quality through construction detailing, especially within the residential interior design arena.
What we are looking for:
- passion and enthusiasm for residential interior architecture and design, with a refined eye for detail
- highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate strong relationships
- the ability to come up with practical solutions to challenges that arise in a fast-paced project environment
- excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and remain level-headed
- an architecture or interior architecture degree
- ability to produce accurate technical drawings for appropriate stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and the design team
- skilled in the use of applications including Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and CAD, Microsoft Office applications
- at least five years’ experience working within a busy creative environment across a large portfolio of multiple projects to an established budget, and to agreed timelines
Key responsibilities:
- leading the production of relevant documentation for all stages of a project and taking responsibility for the development of the architectural details, presentations, and the project deliverables
- ensuring the studio standards are executed within all design documentation – presentations, sketches, drawings and schedules
- conduct site meetings with suppliers and contractors ensuring that designs are executed as per specifications and to the highest standard throughout the project through to completion
- coordinate effectively with FF&E designers from scheduling to installation
