Jonathan Rhind Architects is seeking an architect to join its team in Somerset, UK.
With an increase in enquiries for larger commercial and private projects and a surge in clients purchasing and refurbishing in the countryside, we have an opening for an experienced architect to join our friendly team in Taunton, Somerset.
Ideal applicants will have three to four years’ in practice as well as some conservation experience. We are looking for creative minds who can find solutions to fit a client’s brief whilst meeting rigorous planning and technical requirements.
Current projects include, masterplanning for a luxury Art Deco island hotel; the ongoing regeneration of a rural village for dotcom entrepreneurs – including the creation of a farm to supply the manor house hotel and pub with locally sourced food; a new build Georgian-style mansion with orangery swimming pool and plans to increase biodiversity in the adjacent water meadow; the renovation of a rural farmhouse and conversion of barns to office and studio space in Dartmoor National Park; and renovation and upgrades to a Grade I listed country estate.
The ability to prioritise workload and adapt to the differing requirements of projects is a must. The role is dynamic ever changing and will continually present diverse interesting challenges. We are looking for an applicant with a long term career in mind.
We have an experienced team to guide and assist, and we encourage collaboration and teamwork as well as learning for further qualifications.
