About Clixo
Clixo is the latest product of Toyish Labs, an award-winning innovation studio devoted to inspire creative confidence through the power of play. Clixo is a revolutionary open-ended play system, its flexible and magnetic shapes give kids and kids at heart access to their imagination and discover limitless creations.
The role
You will join a small team of fun-loving industry veterans, designers, entrepreneurs, teachers, and inventors to imagine, prototype, and bring to market the toys you wish you had when you were a kid (or adult). The company is small and starting, so your input will quickly go into production.
You will create physical prototypes and imagine new forms of play. You will collaborate and iterate through ideas while incorporating feedback. You will help create graphics and develop the visual identity of new and existing toys.
Requirements:
- BS in architecture, graphic design, industrial design or relevant design experience
- excellent design communication skills (sketching, ideation, presentation, prototyping)
- proficiency at least one 3D modeling program such as Fusion 360, Solidworks, Rhino, etc.
- experience using digital fabrication tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters
- proficiency in Adobe suite
- problem solving through design
- a basic knowledge of mechanisms
- ability to iterate through prototypes and incorporate feedback into designs
- ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with a well organized and professional approach
- knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes is a plus
- ability to adapt to a variety of different types of design work and willingness to learn new skills every day
- dog lovers is a plus
