Design Squared Architects is seeking an associate architect/architectural technologist to join its team in London.
Design Squared Architects is a small, close-knit architecture studio based in south London working primarily on private residential projects. Established in 2007, the practice has successfully completed over nine hundred building projects and has developed an extensive portfolio.
We are looking for an experienced architect/architectural technologist to join our team in an associate role. Our ideal candidate would be someone currently working as an associate architect/architectural technologist, who is looking to take on more responsibility and learn new skills.
This is a key role in a close-knit, friendly team with involvement in all aspects of the studio. The right candidate will have the ability to take on the leadership role which requires responsibility, the ability to multi-task and prioritise their workload and meet tight deadlines when required. They will be a team player but also be able to work self-driven and with strong initiative. Ongoing support and training will be provided.
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
- leading and managing a team of five
- design in both 2D and 3D
- presentations to clients
- preparation and submission of planning applications
- producing technical drawings and tender packages
- liaising with other industry consultants
- liaising with contractors and specialist subcontractors
- contract administration and site visits
- office management
