Architect/architectural assistant
at Dericote Studio
Dericote Studio is hiring an architect/architectural assistant to join its team in London.
Based in Hackney, Dericote Studio is a small architectural practice specialising in considered architecture, thoughtful interiors and bespoke furniture. Current projects include reconfiguration and extension of homes across the London area as well as heritage and public realm schemes. We pride ourselves on designing to a high standard at all stages of a project.
We are seeking an architect or experienced assistant who is keen to grow with the practice. Through close collaboration with the lead architects, you’ll be working across all project workstages, from concept through to completion on site.
What we’re looking for:
- candidates should have a minimum of three years’ practice experience in the UK, ideally in a similar field
- a creative, meticulous and proactive mindset with an enthusiasm for making and designing at a finer scale
- someone collaborative, organised and comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
- strong conceptual, design and technical drawing skills, and an understanding of UK planning and building regulations
- experience in Vectorworks and SketchUp are beneficial. Adobe Suite and Mac proficiency are essential
Flexibility
We would welcome freelancing, part-time or remote working but the candidate should be able to attend meetings in our London Fields office, as well as client and site meetings.
