Darling Associates is hiring a marketing manager to join its team in London.
Darling Associates are an award winning architecture practice. We are a diverse group of architects, designers and masterplanners from all over the world, each passionate about designing beautiful architecture in which people can live, work and relax. We are looking for a talented and experienced professional to join our talented team as Marketing Manager.
An ideal candidate for this role would be an expert at translating architectural design and technical information into clear, compelling, and exciting brochures, newsletters, reports and presentations and social content. We are looking for someone with outstanding communication skills, the enthusiasm and ambition to make an impact across all aspects of the business, supporting with client development and promoting the Darling brand.
The key responsibilities
Marketing:
- creating impactful marketing brochures, newsletters, presentations, and practice marketing material (print and digital media)
- create engaging content for our website and social media channels
- prepare competition and award entries
- maintain office displays and graphics, company stationery and ISO documents
- promote the use of new media to disseminate information, internally and externally
- scheduling and arranging project evenings, CPD seminars and practice events
- maintain marketing database and research new key contacts
- issuing press releases and producing media content
- monitor all social media accounts and assess feedback and responses
- identifying bid opportunities and taking necessary action
- develop a strong understanding of current and historic projects and company information to assist in bid submissions
- coordinating bid and tender submissions
Graphic design:
- reinforce practice branding
- prepare and illustrate architectural reports and assist project teams
- work on further diversification of the practice branding (as required)
- assist marketing team on pitches, social and media channel updates etc.
The right candidate will possess and will be able to demonstrate the following:
- two to three years’ experience in a similar role within the architectural or built environment preferred
- strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders and deliver on client faced events confidently
- advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- excellent copywriting skills and close attention to detail
- a degree in marketing, graphic design or architecture would be preferred
- ability to multi-task

- sense of humour and a can-do attitude at all times
- personal drive to reinforce the practice brand
- organised, proactive, and self-disciplined with ability to take initiative
