Part 2 architectural assistant
at Atelier Rae

Atelier Rae is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in Dublin, Ireland.

You will be involved with design and construction of small to medium scale projects, supporting the coordination of design and production documents within the studio, and liaising with external consultants and contractors.

You should have a passion for architecture and contemporary architectural discourse. You will act as a positive representative for the practice, working collaboratively within teams and demonstrating excellent communication skills. Whilst primarily project focused, you may also be required to take on wider responsibilities relating to the studio or research topics. You are expected to work with a flexible attitude, demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, diligence, and professionalism.

We offer excellent working conditions and practice ethos at our coastal studio location in Dalkey, 25 minutes from Dublin City Centre.

Role requirements:

  • Part 2 architectural graduate qualification, valid in the EU/UK
  • minimum one year professional experience at Part 1 or Part 2 level
  • strong proficiency with Vectorworks, Adobe Suite, Sketchup/Rhino 3D, Microsoft Office and Mac based IT platform
  • proven experience of projects at various stages, from inception to detailing
  • aptitude for detail and precision, from model making to construction detailing
  • excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • excellent organisational skills
  • ability to work with initiative and as a team player
  • knowledge of Irish/UK building regulations
  • fluency in written and spoken English
  • excellent skills in drawing, critical thinking and problem solving
  • positively contributing to the studio through assistance in wider studio and business responsibilities
  • working and behaving in a diligent, professional and respectful manner at all times
