Fest is hiring senior product developer accessories to join its team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

At Fest our products are at the heart of the company.

Next to our furniture developer we’re looking for a senior product developer (accessories) to join the team. You will be in charge of owning the product development from A-Z. Working with our suppliers and designers you make sure our accessories are always the leading products of the industry.

This position is Amsterdam based.

Your daily tasks and responsibilities:

• you will be responsible for designing and developing the future Fest accessory collection
• you will translate ideas of your own and selected designers and initial concepts into beautiful products
• you have a broad range of knowledge about raw materials such as glass, ceramics and textile and are able to design and develop products from start to end, in which you will have the opportunity to express your own ideas, creativity and knowledge
• understands product pricing, production costs and investments
• sourcing and communicating with suppliers (Europe and Asia)
• be in close contact with designers
• overall support of the product development team
• making 3D drawings and technical drawings is a plus
• updating product information for new and existing products
• make sure stakeholders will understand your critical path
• understand how to build collections in terms of commercial values
• to be on top of the production, market and trends you will; visit suppliers, visit trade fairs and do inspiration trips

About you:

• you have completed a HBO degree (Higher Vocational Studies) or higher, or design academy, in industrial product design or something comparable
• you have at least five years relevant work experience
• you understand the brand aesthetics are creative and have an excellent sense of commercial values in a product and in a collection.
• you love to present you’re ideas and work across the internal stakeholders in the company (art direction, sales, marketing, stores)
• you are customer devoted, you’re up to speed on the latest trends and you know all about design
• you are knowledgeable about a variety of materials like glass, ceramics etc., production technologies and detail drawing
• you’re a giant in PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator
• basic knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus
• you are good in critical paths/ work systematically and orderly and you’re able to work well independently
• you’re a go-getter and you’re not afraid of stress and work pressure
