Mid-weight interior designer

Godrich Interiors is seeking a mid-weight interior designer to join its team in London.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a mid-weight interior designer to join our friendly, busy and exciting studio – designing high end residential projects in London and Europe.
The role requires the successful candidate, who will have a minimum of three years industry experience, to report directly to a senior designer and work proactively alongside the rest of the Godrich team. They will be strong conceptually and technically and will be able to prove confidence in the design and management of projects from initial concept through to completion. The candidate will be expected to assist with all elements of design, including technical drawing (Vectorworks), specification of furnishings and materials as well as project management.
Role and responsibilities:
- work across all stages of projects from initial briefing through to installation/completion
- preparation presentations, concept boards and budgets
- liaising with site contractors, clients, and supplier
- FF&E specification, selection, scheduling, and procurement
- running of multiple interior projects under supervision of a senior designer
- attending face to face briefings and presentations
- a good understanding of budgets and quotations
- working closely with all members of the team
Requirements:
- three plus years’ of relevant experience
- proven proficiency in creating and editing detailed Vectorworks/CAD drawing packages
- excellent project management skills
- a detailed knowledge of London’s interiors suppliers and fabric houses
- strong organisational and communication skills in spoken and written English
- a friendly and approachable manner
- self-motivated, yet collaborative
