Re-creo Architecture is hiring an architect/architectural assistant to join its team in London.
Architect or architect assistant of three to five years’ experience with at least Part 2 or equivalent qualification at Re-Creo Architecture.
Re-Creo Architecture is a small design-driven practice looking for a passionate and highly motivated architect or architect assistant to join our London team which we are now looking to build up for a rapidly expanding workload.
It is essential that the applicant has a high level of competency in 3D BIM ArchiCAD or Revit.
Other required skills/attributes are:
- at least ARB Part 2, preferably Part 3
- three to five years’ post-Part 2 experience within the UK
- competency in SketchUp, Indesign, Photoshop, Lumion rendering tools
- flair to understand design problems and to work with others to create imaginative designs to solve those
- an ability to visualise the quality of a scheme and to present that with 3D
visualisations - problem-solving, communication and organisational skills, attention to detail to deal with a broad range of spatial, design, place-making, urban planning, planning, construction and project viability issues
- a basic understanding of planning procedures, construction documentation, building regulations and building contracts
- the right to work in the UK without restrictions
The new architect/assistant would initially work on driving a scheme of six flats in a complex conversion/extension heritage situation in Hampstead Ham through planning as well as carrying out early stages design development on two schemes: a scheme of 450 flats with commercial ground floor use and a scheme of a ‘last mile’ multi-storey warehouse and workshops with a new public square.
We are a small design-driven practice that is looking to build up its team again to deal with the two large jobs that are now breaking. We work alongside our sister organisation, Re-creo Developments, to advance designs from viability sketch schemes through to completion of construction, bringing a design-led approach to all stages of a project to realise developments that enhance the built environment. We take responsibility to create the vision, drive the schemes through the planning process and take the lead in building them out. We become our own clients, responsible for the outcome of our creative endeavour to our investor partners.
