Charles & Co is seeking a mid-level interior designer to join its team in London.

Charles & Co (AD100) is a high-end residential and hospitality interior design firm working with extremely private HNW clients around the globe. We are currently seeking an intermediate level interior designer with several years of FF&E experience and who has great relationships with top end vendors. The successful candidate will provide design assistance to several of our  senior designers and  also work independently, communicating daily with our staff in Italy and New York.

Job duties:

• several years experience designing custom furniture and interior joinery
• manage FF&E procurement for each project including independent and pro-active sourcing of goods
• produce mood boards and presentations using Indesign
• maintaining detailed budget spreadsheets in Excel
• work to project budgets and exercise value engineering solutions where needed
• passionate about interior design with a strong desire to uphold a high level of design quality
• experienced at sourcing high end finish materials. Existing relationships with worldwide vendors is essential
• quickly produce detailed drawings, joinery drawings, elevations and floor plans in AutoCAD
• strong organizational capabilities with the ability to multitask, constantly
• ability to travel to sites within the UK and Europe
• excellent presentation skills and heavy client interaction, both verbal and written
• must be a team player

Qualifications:

• computer proficiency (AutoCAD, Excel, Photoshop, InDesign)
• good AutoCAD skills (Revit would be helpful)
• BA or higher in interior design
• at least three years’ of full time work within a design studio
• clean drivers license and access to a car is preferred
• must be able to successfully work from home
