Kingston Lafferty Design is seeking a graduate/junior designer to join its team in Dublin, Ireland.
Founded in 2010 by award-winning Designer, Roisin Lafferty, Kingston Lafferty Design has quickly made its mark as a respected interior architecture and design agency across Ireland and the UK.
At KLD we think differently about design. Our designs take people on a journey, delivering fun and unexpected experiences. With a humanistic approach, we study the way in which people live and work to create tactile and meaningful design; putting human behaviour at the centre of every project.

Our boutique studio now welcomes applications from high calibre graduate and junior interior designers to join our expanding studio. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and aspire to grow in our expanding design studio. The candidate should have an excellent educational background with an undergraduate or postgraduate degree either in interior design.
Requirements and responsibilities are listed below.
Responsibilities:
- developing initial ideas, concepts and mood boards
- collaborative, team brainstorming
- surveying and documenting jobs
- considering the needs of people who will use the building
- detail design including floor plans, tiling layouts, elevations, models, architectural details and finishes
- preparing drawing packages for construction work
- ongoing client management
- budget awareness
- site visits
- social media engagement
Responsibilities and abilities:
- critical attention to detail & accuracy at each level for every project
- problem solving while keeping all relevant managers in the loop
- be able to work on your own initiative while also being team player
- resourcefulness and ability to manage several tasks and projects simultaneously
- good level of understanding of materials, finishes and lighting
- sourcing and ordering
- styling for photoshoots
- graphic design and updating all online channels
Skills:
- proficient in CAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp
- excellent communication skills within the team and with clients
Essentials:
- fluent written and spoken English
- qualification in interior design/interior architecture
