Mid-weight interior designer

A Designer at Heart is hiring a mid-weight interior designer to join its team in London.
A Designer at Heart is a young, London-based, interior design consultancy specialising in serviced buildings. Working on international projects, we focus on PBSA, BTR and co-living.
We are looking for a self-driven individual who share our passion for interior design as a tool to improve lives. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small but growing reality where your voice will matter and you’ll be able to see all stages of a project from start to end.
Tasks:
- to work closely with the founder and director, to deliver concept designs and space planning in 3D, including visuals/low res CGIs (modelling in Revit, rendering preferably using Enscape)
- to develop concept presentations in InDesign, creating mood boards, sketches and FF&E boards
- to work on technical drawings, deliver full detailed tender and construction packages using Revit
- to attend client meetings and site visits (including locations abroad)
- to run the full FF&E procurement for certain projects, independently and proactively sourcing goods and samples for client approval and maintain budgets, liaising directly with suppliers
- to liaise with wider team, checking information produced by consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers
- to take responsibility for project deadlines, ensuring they are met and projects are structured to achieve deadlines
- to assist with project site monitoring, installation and photography
Skills:
- able to work in a Revit project environment, creating schedules of quantities, room schedules, door schedules, etc
- ability to work in a Revit family environment is essential, creating parametric families is a plus
- ability to manage time and priorities independently and report to the director regularly
- a great team player, with strong communication, collaboration, listening and problem-solving skills
- good eye for detail, composition, colours, materials and an understanding of the full design process
- good people skills
- fluent written and spoken English
- between three and five years’ of proven experience in running interior design projects from concept to completion
- architectural work experience is not a requirement but we ask for a degree in architecture from an internationally recognised university
Equipment/software:
- applicants should be equipped with their own laptop/PC
- the successful candidate will be proficient in the following softwares: Revit, Adobe Suite (InDesign and Photoshop as a minimum), Excel, Word
- working knowledge of AutoCAD, Illustrator and Enscape is an advantage
Job description:
- this is a full-time position, applicants should be based in London and willing to travel abroad as needed
- the role will be for six months with possibility for the right person to turn it into a permanent position
- hybrid working environment (we ask for minimum two to three days a week in the office, which is based in Finsbury Park)
- starting date: ideally 1 March 2024
- salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per year depending on experience
