Frank & Faber is hiring an experienced interior architect/designer to join its team in London.
Frank & Faber is a small interior design studio who thrive on delivering personality led, creative and expertly executed projects for a range of residential and commercial clients.
We are looking for a passionate interior architect/designer to join our small team based in East London (Shoreditch). This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the founder and creative director and grow with the company.
The successful candidate will have proven a minimum of two plus years’ experience across both residential and commercial projects, a keen design eye and drive to work in a small, dynamic team across a range of projects.
The role will be freelance initially with a view to going permanent in the longer term. We are open to part time hours for the right candidate.
Required skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- interior design degree or similar qualification
- strong skills in software packages including AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp and/or other 3D tools as well as Excel, PowerPoint and Google sheets
- proven ability in spatial planning and developing drawing packages from concept to construction stages
- experience sourcing and procuring FF&E as well as designing bespoke furniture and furnishings, including technical detailing
- a good knowledge of suppliers and be familiar with regulations and UK standards
- experience in production of mood boards, sample boards and FF&E schedules
- have excellent communication and people skills and proven ability to manage and build effective client, contractor and supplier relationships
- have enthusiasm and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- experience of working with budgets and tight deadlines
