Nest is seeking a marketing executive to join its team in Sheffield, UK.

Salary: £20-22k per annum (dependent on experience)

Full-time: 40 hours per week – excluding half hour lunch (Monday to Friday)

How do you contribute?

Marketing is key and inherent with communicating our tone of voice and visual identity, differentiating ourselves within the industry and most importantly, engaging our customers across all our touch points.

We are looking for an experienced, creative, and committed marketing executive with a passion for social media to join our in-house Marketing team, under the direction of the Marketing Manager to align with Nest’s overall marketing goals and objectives.

You will assist with a variety of marketing disciplines along with independently managing specific platforms and tasks within your role. You will be responsible for producing and coordinating compelling social media content and providing engaging copy. You will oversee the planning, development and implementation of all content and activity across the Nest social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. You won’t be phased by developing our presence on new social media platforms.

Comfortable with data recording and analysis using in-house and GA tools, you will track results, performance and optimise accordingly. Managing sponsored social media, guided by performance insights and industry recommendations, you will collaborate closely with the team to identify new opportunities. Through collaboration with the Marketing Manager, you will coordinate the social media schedule, aligning with strategy, department spend and the marketing calendar. Adhering to annual brand commitments for social media marketing are an essential part of this role, creating organic and fitting content solutions with a timely approach.

Skilled in adaptable copywriting techniques, with an excellent execution of grammar, language, and flow, you will provide copywriting solutions to suit a variety of marketing activations to support the team. Written copy will be developed to effectively target all Nest audiences, including both B2C and B2B.

Your role as marketing executive will touch all areas of marketing, assisting and supporting the team with an agile and flexible approach. Working within a fast-paced and dedicated team, you will assist in the creation and implementation of a range of marketing content in line with Nest’s overall marketing strategy.

You will take ownership of your specialisms and identify ways to develop these, exploring areas that could bring added value based on insights and new functionality and an in-depth understanding of our audience.

In all that you produce, you will use brand assets and design guidelines to ensure our brand values, visual language and tone of voice are consistently conveyed.

You will in many instances, be the first point of contact for the Nest Marketing team. You will assist by communicating, over social media, with customers and responding to requests made by online influencers and bloggers.  You will assist the Marketing team with external communication and incoming calls and develop close liaisons with all internal departments.

Essential criteria

12 plus months of marketing industry experience within a similar role. Those with professional experience and educated to degree level (or equivalent) within creative writing, English, graphic design or relevant marketing and design disciplines would be particularly suited.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • experience of writing and executing content via social media for a company/brand across social media platforms
  • a creative eye for layout and composition with good design skills using Adobe platforms and similar
  • excellent copywriting ability with professional experience within a related industry/marketing role
  • strong organisation skills, at ease coordinating content

Where am I based?

You’ll be based at our head office site at 9 Parkway Rise, Sheffield S9 4WQ and we will expect you to be present there between the hours of 8:00 – 8:30am and 4:30 – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

On occasion you may be required to work at another Nest location should business need arise, this may also include a training trip or somewhere fun with your colleagues. You will also be available to attend any business need outside of contracted working hours, should it be required.
