Architectural technologist
at Unagru
Unagru is seeking an architectural technologist to join its team in London.
We are a young practice based in East London with a varied background in urbanism, ecological design and architecture.
We want to meet a proactive architectural technologist, with at least four years’ of industry experience and two years’ working with Autodesk Revit. The applicants should be passionate about architecture and construction technology. They will be willing to contribute to the company’s growth by improving processes and standards, investing time in education and sharing knowledge with the team. They will be confident working independently and collaborating effectively in a project team through all design phases. They will have exceptional attention to detail.
The basics
You will be working on several private residential projects either alone or supporting other team members. You will oversee the delivery of building control and tender packages and advise the team on technological and construction related topics. You will help liaise with suppliers and consultants. You will carry out design reviews and quality control on the information issued by the practice.
Successful candidates will have:
- a minimum four years of industry experience and two-year of working experience using Revit. Please do not apply otherwise
- exceptional conceptual design and technical design ability
- an understanding of the architectural projects’ design approach and workflow
- excellent knowledge of a range of construction methods and specifications
- technical knowledge of UK planning and building regulations and UK/London housing standards
- excellent communication skills and perfectly fluency in English
- permanent permission to work in the UK
Start date: September to October 2022, with a three-month probation period
Location: Dalston, East London. We share a large office space with other likeminded architecture practices. We also share drinks, seminars and visits.
Salary will be based on experience.
