Herzog & de Meuron is hiring an architect/BIM lead to join its team in San Francisco, USA.

Herzog & de Meuron is led by the two founders together with the current partners and the CEO. The practice was established in Basel in 1978. Today, an international team of over 600 collaborators are engaged in a wide range of projects across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Our main office in Basel works in tandem with our studios in Berlin and Munich, London, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco and our site offices in Copenhagen and Paris.

To complement the team in our San Francisco office we are seeking for immediate employment an architect-BIM lead (100%).

Your profile:

  • diploma or master’s degree in architecture
  • at least five years’ of professional experience in an architectural office
  • excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • very good knowledge of Autodesk Revit, and Design tools (i.e., Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Enscape)
  • broad knowledge of digital collaboration workflow is required
  • experience with conducting training is an advantage
  • curious and eager to learn and develop
  • fluency in English required

As an architect-BIM lead, you will be a dedicated member of the project team who, among their other project design tasks, is responsible for the implementation of the established BIM strategies, digital processes, and workflows in the project.Working closely with project management, part of your job will be to support project delivery tasks, i.e., coordination, modelling, or planning. We are looking for talented professionals who have experience being a designer on large projects and have clear understanding and appreciation of BIM methods and principles in all stages of project delivery.You will be part of the project team as an extension of the design technology (DT) group and will be supported by our BIM managers. You will guide the creation, administration, and coordination of the BIM deliverables for your project, while sharing your expertise through training and knowledge transfer.
