Project sales coordinator

LEMA is looking for an experienced project sales coordinator to join its team in London.
The candidate should have a broad knowledge of furniture modular systems as well as CAD design, and will be required to develop all of the design work required during the sales process and prior to the manufacturing process. You will manage the production of technical drawings and plans used to manufacture LEMA Furniture.
The ideal candidate will have a good interior design acumen. The candidate should possess the qualities required to develop furniture projects within a high performing team, assist the sales team in the common goal of delivering an exceptional customer service, as well as the ability to improve work efficiency within the team.
Furthermore, as a project sales coordinator the candidate will be responsible for achieving deadline set by the senior design manager and offering multiple options where required. The candidate should also have a demonstrable knowledge of the design industry and its heritage and culture.
Formal qualification is required, a BA (hons) degree in interior design, architecture or industrial design is an advantage.
We are looking for a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
Key responsibilities/attributes of role – design ability
- develop drawings, project schedules, budgets, working drawings/plans and visual preparations to submit to clients
- participate in the coordination and document preparation for projects and provide quality assurance.
- develop project design packages, including wardrobes, AV media units, bookcases, kitchens as well as free standing furniture packages
- manage small to mid-size projects. Some projects will require a more comprehensive approach. As well as Lema products you will be expected to include and price products that are not supplied by Lema
- partners such as lighting, rugs, curtains, wall coverings and fabrics companies will become part of your area of expertise
- create and maintain Lema brand design/installation to the highest standards
- create and maintain libraries of CAD standard furniture details and smart blocks
- continuous liaising with private clients, architects/interior designers to ensure that design intent is properly channelled through the process to ensure that their expectations are met to the highest level
Technical skills:
- confidence in the use of AutoCAD LT
- computer savvy with moderate or better skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD and Pigreco (training provided)
- SketchUp and Photoshop skills are a benefit. Software will be provided by Lema
Showroom tasks
Lema Showroom is refurbished twice a year. We expect every member of the Home division to take part in the activities associated with the refurbishment. Tasks include supporting and playing an active role in the refurbishment, moving furniture, wrapping furniture, storing as well as stock taking before goods are stored or sold to clients
Stocktaking generally takes place twice a year. We expect you together with the team to take part in this activity.
You will be reporting to the LEMA UK Home Division Senior Design Manager.
You will be based at the LEMA UK Showroom – 183 King’s Road, SW3 5EB, Chelsea.
The above should summarise the task that you will be required to perform during the time that you will be employed by Lema.
As you progress further and your experience and understanding of the company grows, your goals might change and some additional tasks might be added.
Assessment of your performance will be monitored and an evaluation of your work and performance will be submitted by your in line manager once every six months and at the end of the year.
