Hours of work: 40 hours per week, full-time
Role salary guide: £20,000 – £22,000 per annum

Feilden Fowles are an award-winning architecture practice based in Waterloo, in their self-built studio & walled garden shared with Waterloo City Farm.
Our team of 18 delivers exceptional projects across a range of sectors spanning education, arts and culture, workplace and heritage.
Role overview
Working closely with the practice manager, this role will support the day-to-day running of the studio and delivery of selected practice initiatives. The role will be a central part of the studio, ensuring it’s smooth and efficient running, at an exciting time of growth for the practice.
The role will suit an individual that has the desire to learn and develop a broad range of administrative skills and that has an interest in developing a career within the creative industries.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to manage and prioritise a multitude of tasks, often under pressure. They will be organised and reliable, whilst being proactive and outgoing; a self-starter in the making.
They would ideally possess 6-12 months experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a professional and calm attitude, as well as a strong proficiency with using MS office – Outlook, Word, Excel. Prior knowledge or experience of working in an architecture practice and with Adobe Creative apps, is not essential but would be beneficial.
Role specific responsibilities:
- significantly contribute to the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the studio
- be the main point of contact for suppliers and clients, by email, phone and in person
- daily management of shared email inboxes
- significantly contribute to the upkeep of the studio, including maintenance and health and safety and the management of related suppliers
- procurement of studio supplies, including stationery and staff refreshments
- assist with the maintenance of studio documents, manuals, filing and general admin
- be responsible for the management of the studio diary and shared meeting spaces, assisting with external catering needs as required
- work with the practice manager to organise social events, including team birthday celebrations, team meetings/lunches/drinks and away-days
- support the senior leadership team with PA-related duties, including diary management, travel arrangements and expense processing
- support the practice manager with HR related admin, including annual leave bookings, recruitment screening and people data processing
- support the practice manager with finance related admin, including accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliations
- always maintain confidentiality, as required
There will also be the opportunity for the role to have exposure to PR activities, award and bid submissions and the management of our website and social media channels, dependant on the successful individual’s capabilities.
