Digital content curator
at Heatherwick Studio

Heatherwick Studio is looking for a digital content curator in London.

This is a fantastic new role designed to work across our content ecosystem, building communities on multiple platforms inside and outside the business.

You will have strong editorial and technical skills, sound judgement, and a real passion for design. Above all, you will know how to find and tell positive stories, and how to bring them to life for different audiences through social and digital media.

Heatherwick Studio is a global team of 200 problem solvers dedicated to making the physical world around us better for everyone. We are practical inventors with no signature style. Our motivation is to design soulful and interesting places, led by human experience rather than any fixed dogma.

We enjoy pushing the boundaries of what is considered possible. We achieve this by placing collaboration, trust and teamwork at the heart of everything we do. We look for studio members who have the entrepreneurial spirit to make things happen, and who also take delight in sharing their knowledge and experience. We want self-reflective people who are committed to their own growth and who are unafraid to support the growth of others.

We expect all studio members to work together with honesty and integrity, and to have a genuine care for each other. The studio is a creative community and it’s fundamental to us that everyone feels they belong, regardless of their culture or background.

Responsibilities

Social media

Build coordinated content plans for each of our principal channels (owned and earned) that bring alive the studio’s projects and campaigns, and work with colleagues to publish a mix of video, graphics, animation, imagery and text that inform and engage each community.

Website

Take lead responsibility for the editorial quality and the functionality of the studio’s website; curating and publishing content including text, images, video and other media; and collaborating with colleagues and external agencies to support hosting, analytics and content development on the site.

Intranet

Create and maintain a high performing intranet platform, working with colleagues in the design and digital systems teams to source and publish content, ensuring it supports our strategy to keep studio members inspired, connected and informed.

Analysis

Generate and apply data and insight to constantly review and improve our digital output, reach and impact; contributing to the way we implement and report against our Reputation Strategy and enabling us to make data-led decisions.

Knowledge

Maintain up-to-date digital and channel knowledge and awareness of trends, best practice and emerging technologies, using this proactively to shape the content we produce so that it makes the most of the strengths of different platforms.

Requirements:

  • excellent editing and proof-reading skills, and experience of producing substantive written content for the web and social media
  • a proactive team member who is well organised, shows initiative and has an open, can-do attitude
  • flexible enough to multi-task and also able to prioritise effectively
  • an appetite to learn about the studio’s projects, culture and ambitions
  • good working knowledge of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or other software used to measure performance, setting up site-wide tagging and journey mapping
  • solid understanding of social media management and listening platforms such as Sprinklr, Netbase or Meltwater
  • confident using a range of content management systems including AEM, user-journeys and website best practice. Some experience of Sharepoint and OpenAsset may be useful

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will be considered without regard to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, neuro-diversity status, or disability status.  We encourage all people from historically underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
