The role:

  • location: Clerkenwell, London, UK
  • contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, three days a week
  • reports to: partners (South)

Purpose of the role:

  • To support effective project resourcing across two studios (Oxford and London)

Main responsibilities

Resourcing:

  • organising weekly meetings with the senior management team in the London and Oxford Studios to manage the overall resourcing plans on VantagePoint
  • attend monthly project manager meetings run by partners where each team reports on progress and needs. Prepare summary notes to inform resourcing and recruitment that can be fed back to the recruitment manager and people and culture manager
  • oversee resource and new recruit allocation against senior management team requests and income generated by each team (requires knowledge of the project finances)
  • liaise and be visible to each project manager to get a deep understanding of their work, their project workload, their team and their needs
  • maintain studio team structure schedules
  • work closely with the recruitment manager and give regular updates on recruitment needs for each studio
  • work closely with the people and culture manager to inform and update on changes within the teams
  • work closely with the finance controller, who is tracking profitability levels with each project manager to keep a good understanding of the project performances

Person specification

Knowledge:

  • excellent knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, Vantagepoint or similar  project management software (would be an advantage)
  • good knowledge of MS Project, Newforma Project Centre and OpenAsset
  • understanding of good customer service principles
