Senior lighting designer

Xavio Design is hiring a senior lighting designer to join its team in London.

Introduction

Xavio is a world-class lighting consultancy specialising in super-prime private residential, high-end hospitality, and luxury developments. We are privileged to work on some of the finest residences and architecture in the entire world.

Due to continued growth and projects, we are seeking to add to our design team with an additional senior designer.

This role is full time and is offered on a hybrid basis, working from home and a minimum of one day a week in our Head Office in Alton (Hampshire).

Role description

Working within a team, responsible for the design of projects within super prime residential properties, hospitality and other commercial settings, you will provide professional lighting design input to our projects.

As a senior designer, we will also look to you to help to train and grow the skills of junior designers and other members of the team, using your experience and creative gifts to further enhance our offering and brand.

You should be confident in your ability to lead a team and develop skills within the team.

We look to our design team to design projects from concept process through to client presentations, product sourcing, procurement, installation, lighting commissioning/scene setting with specialist technicians.  Part of this is to work with the Project Management team to ensure that the project runs to time and to budget. It will also be necessary to attend site meetings with building contractors, architects, interior designers, engineers, technicians, builders and suppliers.

There will also be occasional short trips abroad for our international projects.

About You

You should have more than 5 years experience within the lighting design industry working on projects similar to ours (hospitality or residential).
