FF&E interior designer

Purple Design is seeking a FF&E interior designer to join its team in London.

Our studio

Purple Design is a small dynamic studio which prides itself on being easy to work with. We work on prestigious residential interiors. Our attention to detail is fastidious and our interiors are finished to the highest quality.

We are looking to work with a diligent and creative interior architect/designer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • assisting the design director with design concept proposals
  • assisting with the development of material palettes
  • producing digital design presentations using Adobe InDesign/PowerPoint
  • producing and coordinating schedules for FF&E
  • managing the purchase and manufacture of detailed bespoke furniture and lighting pieces
  • liaising with suppliers/manufacturers to ensure the smooth delivery of FF&E
  • producing accurate CAD plans and elevations; room layouts, light and power and finishes
  • producing rendered drawings for presentation
  • establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with manufacturers and suppliers

Your key skills and experience:

  • degree in interior architecture or interior design
  • two plus years’ experience as an interior architect/designer preferably at a high-end studio
  • excellent presentation and communication skills
  • knowledge and understanding of residential sector suppliers and manufacturers
  • experience in sourcing, scheduling, procuring and managing FF&E
  • managing the installation of FF&E as well as dressing
  • competent in preparing CAD drawing packages
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to manage time efficiently and work to tight deadlines
  • reliable, honest, organised, detail driven with a high level of initiative
  • ability to work independently
  • generally a friendly and positive person who is easy to work with
  • fluent in English

Must be fluent in:

  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • Photoshop
  • InDesign
  • Office 365
  • Hand sketching
