Populous is seeking a resource manager to join its team in London.

Populous is an award-winning, international design practice specialising in sport and entertainment venues that draw people and communities together for unforgettable experiences.

We are seeking a resource manager who is passionate about being a key player in the organisation of key project staffing arrangements and much more in our London/EMEA studio.

Job responsibilities:

  • monitor staffing resources for all office locations
  • works with project teams to ensure project staffing needs are met
  • proven track record of new working methods and technology which integrates into practice wide solutions
  • forecasts staffing needs and identifies possible needs that would require hiring new staff
  • identifies staff availability and related skillsets
  • leads staffing meeting with project leaders
  • works with office manager to arrange team/staff seating assignments
  • reviews resumes and distributes to disciplines as needed
  • carries out interviews as required
  • assists in resolving assignment conflicts between staff and project leaders
  • issues staffing communication and reports, including ensuring that employees know what they are working on each week
  • all other duties and responsibilities as required

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • thorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing and budgets with an aptitude in financial management required
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • proficiency in Deltek Vision is preferred
  • completes duties with minimal supervision, responsible for quality of work product
  • ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • ability to maintain effective professional communication with project team members
  • interacts well with project teams in a manner that builds productive relationships
  • strong organisational, relationship building, and problem-solving skills

Education and experience:

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in architecture, interiors or planning
  • experience in managing resources within an architecture, interiors or planning firm
